Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga, known as the ‘Yoga of Awareness’, is the fastest growing yoga in the world for its highly effective technology in creating positive change within one’s system on physiological, emotional, mental, and energetic levels off the mat.

More and more people are discovering the transformative strength, wellbeing, and awakening of the practice and science of Kundalini Yoga. Designed to fit into our hectic lives of the modern age, Kundalini Yoga techniques are simple, powerful, and effective for our busy lives and noisy minds.

The ancient practice of Kundalini Yoga awakens and balances your energy, bringing an array of positive impacts on the body, mind, and spirit. It originated in India, and its concept was first mentioned in Upanishads amongst the oldest of India’s spiritual texts dating back to the 5th century BC.

Many people discover Kundalini Yoga as a tool to find themselves, awaken their potential and connect with their higher self. It is a practice that helps one become more aware of what is truly going on internally and externally.

Practicing Kundalini yoga will make you feel revitalised and aware of your incredible potential. You’ll grow in harmony with nature and the earth, raise your energy levels while being grounded, and get a deep sense of peace and clarity of mind to live fully in the present moment. Practicing Kundalini Yoga, you can experience more joy, peace, and love than you have ever known.

What to expect in a class

In yogic theory, Kundalini is the primal energy (shakti). Kundalini is a sleeping, potential force in the human organism. Kundalini awakening occurs through meditation, pranayama (breathing), asanas (postures), mudras (hand gestures), bandhas (body locks), and the chanting of mantras, collectively known as a ‘Kriya’.

A class goes for 75 minutes, and you’ll practice a kriya followed by deep relaxation, sometimes with the Gong Bath. Each Kundalini yoga class is different, and it’s a completely different experience.

Each class is designed to positively affect your being, empower yourself, and create positive changes in your life beyond the yoga mat.

After class, you’ll enjoy a cup of herbal tea with our community of fellow yogis. You’ll leave feeling great!
